TriBeCa: New York Café Glasgow

Location: TriBeCa Café Bar, Dumbarton Road, Glasgow

After a feel good gym session this morning, P and I headed over to the West end for some lunch.

TriBeCa has been on our ‘go to’ list for a long time so we decided to tick it off today. A queue is to be expected, especially on a weekend, but after being told there would be a half an hour wait we were seated within about 20 minutes, so not too bad.

Famous for its US style large portions, I opted for French Toast, Maple Syrup and Bacon. P ordered Buttermilk Pancakes and Maple Syrup. Both dishes were fresh, light and delicious – if somewhat too big, neither of us were able to clear our plates, which doesn’t happen that often.

With no more than 20 tables and a constant queue there was always people coming and going but never once did we feel rushed. There was a great buzz about the place and the staff were really attentive, even when waiting.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend a visit – I’ve already chosen my order for next time (Omlette, I’ve got my eyes on you!).
